WAYU GIB - Navigation buoy
Device specification

KEY FEATURES

DESCRIPTION

The navigation hydroacoustic buoy WAYU GIB of the WAYU system, as part of a set of four such devices, forms a floating long navigation base, with the support of which the positioning of the WAYU Pinger pinger is ensured. The device has a non-separable design and is made of high-strength polyurethane and polypropylene, it automatically switches on when it hits the water. It does not require any settings or calibrations. Buoyancy is provided by an easily visible float made of ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA).

1 Excluding the hydroacoustic receiving antenna on a 1 m cable, excluding the float (Ф x h) 125 x 160 mm.
2 With a new battery, at an ambient temperature of 20°C.
3 The parameter that determines the maximum range at which signal reception is possible, based on the electroacoustic parameters of the transmitter and receiver, spatial decrease in the intensity of sound energy, attenuation in the environment and the level of hydroacoustic interference.
4 Achieved in the absence of interference, in open areas. The receiving antenna may need to be raised several meters higher.
