The underwater acoustic modems of the uWave family are designed for:
The uWave, uWave Max and uWave USBL modems have a built-in pressure and temperature sensor, which allows using them for:
estimating the local immersion depth, pressure, ambient temperature and supply voltage;
The modems (except uWave Max OEM) are made using a patented technology as a monoblock on a cable, completely potted in polyurethane compound, and are designed for
operation in fresh and salt water (salinity level up to 38 PSU) and in the temperature range from -5 to +50 °C.
The maximum operating hydrostatic pressure is 30 bar, which approximately corresponds to 300 meters of water column. The device is powered by a DC source with a voltage of 5 .. 12 V. The power consumption is 0.33 and 6 W in receive and transmit modes, respectively, for uWave devices and 0.33 and 15 W in receive and transmit modes, respectively, for all other devices of the family. Interfacing with the control system is performed via the UART 9600 interface.
The data rate over the underwater acoustic channel is 78 bit/s.

The warranty period for the supplied equipment kit is 24 (twenty-four) months and is counted from the date of actual receipt of the devices by the customer, unless otherwise provided by the contract. If, during the warranty period, defects or latent defects are found in the product (latent defects are defects that could not be detected during a check usual for the given product and were revealed only during operation), the Supplier shall eliminate them at its own expense by repairing the product or replacing it with a new one within a period of no more than 30 (thirty) calendar days and specified in the certificate of transfer of the product for repair. The warranty period for the product is extended by the time during which the product was not used because of the identified defects. The time during which the product was not used is counted from the date of the written notification to the Supplier of the identified defects until the day of receipt of the product under the acceptance certificate after repair (replacement). When the product is replaced, the warranty period for the product is counted anew from the date the parties sign the acceptance certificate after repair (replacement). Delivery of the product for replacement work from the Customer’s premises, and after the work has been completed to the Customer’s warehouse, is carried out using the Customer’s own resources.
The warranty obligations do not apply to the product in the case of:
The devices are fully interchangeable electrically within the same model.
The use of organic solvents and/or aggressive acids and/or alkalis to remove contamination from the surface of the modems and their cable is not allowed.
The devices are not rescue or human life-support equipment. Any work using the modems must be performed in strict compliance with the requirements of the Intersectoral rules for diving/underwater operations, as well as the departmental and local regulations in force for the Customer governing diving operations.
