PRODUCT PASSPORT "Zima2 USBL UNDERWATER ACOUSTIC NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH OEM 350 m BEACON"

1. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The Zima2 USBL underwater acoustic navigation system with the OEM 350 m beacon is designed to determine the relative location (range, depth, azimuth angle) of the Zima2-R35 OEM underwater acoustic responder-beacons by means of the Zima2-B35 underwater acoustic direction-finding antenna.

The system consists of:

The underwater acoustic direction-finding antenna is made using a patented technology as a monoblock completely potted in polyurethane compound and is designed for operation in fresh and salt water (salinity level up to 38 PSU) and in the temperature range from -5 to +50 °C. The maximum operating hydrostatic pressure is 30 bar, which approximately corresponds to 300 meters of water column. The nominal accuracy of determining the horizontal angle of arrival of the responder-beacons is ±1°, and the resolution of determining the depth of the responder-beacons is 1.4 m. The responder-beacons are supplied as an assembly of printed circuit boards and an underwater acoustic transducer with a set of connecting cables. The maximum hydrostatic pressure the transducer in its assembled form is rated for is 100 bar, which approximately corresponds to 1000 meters of water column. The system is designed to transmit data on the depth of the responder-beacons in the range from 0 to 350 meters of water column. One direction-finding antenna allows sequential operation with 16 Zima2-R35-OEM responder-beacons.
The responder-beacons have no built-in power source and are power-interfaced with the carrier.

The warranty period for the product is extended by the time during which the product was not used because of the identified defects. The time during which the product was not used is counted from the date of the written notification to the Supplier of the identified defects until the day of receipt of the product under the acceptance certificate after repair (replacement). When the product is replaced, the warranty period for the product is counted anew from the date the parties sign the acceptance certificate after repair (replacement). Delivery of the product for replacement work from the Customer’s premises, and after the work has been completed to the Customer’s warehouse, is carried out using the Customer’s own resources.

The warranty obligations do not apply to the product in the case of:

4. NOTES ON OPERATION AND STORAGE

4.1. Interchangeability

Monoblock devices (direction-finding antenna and responder-beacons) are fully interchangeable electrically.

4.2. Special storage requirements

4.3 Special safety precautions during operation

The devices are not rescue or human life-support equipment. Any work using the devices must be performed in strict compliance with the requirements of the Intersectoral occupational safety rules for diving/underwater operations, as well as the departmental and local regulations in force for the Customer governing diving operations.
