The Zima2 USBL underwater acoustic navigation system with Zima2-R35 beacons is designed to determine the relative location (range, depth, azimuth angle) of the Zima2-R35 underwater acoustic responder-beacons by means of the Zima2-B35 underwater acoustic direction-finding antenna.
The system consists of:
The underwater acoustic direction-finding antenna is made using a patented technology as a monoblock completely potted in polyurethane compound with a cable and a sealed connector. The antenna is designed for operation in fresh and salt water (salinity level up to 40 PSU) and in the temperature range from -5 to +50 °C.
The maximum operating hydrostatic pressure is 30 bar, which approximately corresponds to 300 meters of water column. The nominal accuracy of determining the horizontal angle of arrival of the responder-beacons is 1° (RMS), and the resolution of determining the depth of the responder-beacons is 1.4 m.
The responder-beacons are made using a patented technology as a monoblock completely potted in polyurethane compound with a cable and a sealed connector. The maximum hydrostatic pressure is 35 bar, which approximately corresponds to 350 meters of water column.
The system is designed to transmit data on the depth of the responder-beacons in the range from 0 to 350 meters of water column.
One direction-finding antenna allows sequential operation with 16 Zima2-R35 responder-beacons.
The responder-beacons have no built-in power source and are powered by the supplied battery packs.

The warranty period for the supplied equipment kit is 24 (twenty-four) months and is counted from the date of actual receipt of the devices by the customer, unless otherwise provided by the contract. If, during the warranty period, defects or latent defects are found in the product (latent defects are defects that could not be detected during a check usual for the given product and were revealed only during operation), the Supplier shall eliminate them at its own expense by repairing the product or replacing it with a new one within a period of no more than 30 (thirty) calendar days and specified in the certificate of transfer of the product for repair. The warranty period for the product is extended by the time during which the product was not used because of the identified defects. The time during which the product was not used is counted from the date of the written notification to the Supplier of the identified defects until the day of receipt of the product under the acceptance certificate after repair (replacement). When the product is replaced, the warranty period for the product is counted anew from the date the parties sign the acceptance certificate after repair (replacement). Delivery of the product for replacement work from the Customer’s premises, and after the work has been completed to the Customer’s warehouse, is carried out using the Customer’s own resources.
The warranty obligations do not apply to the product in the case of:
The Zima2B-35 direction-finding antennas, Zima2-R35 responder-beacons, battery packs for powering the responder-beacons, cable splices and chargers are fully interchangeable electrically. Bat&Link Box power supply and switching units are interchangeable within the same version (1- or 2-channel version).
The devices are not rescue or human life-support equipment. Any work using the devices must be performed in strict compliance with the requirements of the Intersectoral occupational safety rules for diving/underwater operations, as well as the departmental and local regulations in force for the Customer governing diving operations.
